New York City music hot spot, The Bitter End, will be the site of the celebrations on April 26th, 2014.

New York, NY 4.23.14 – Local band, Eleventh Ward, will be celebrating the launch of their debut recording with a show at The Bitter End this Saturday 26 April. The self-titled EP, recorded at The Gallery and Atlantic Sound Studios in Brooklyn (Bjork, JET, St. Vincent), was mastered by Grammy-award winning sound engineer Blair Wells (Jay Z, Kanye West, Q Tip, John Legend). The lynchpin of the four-member band, which has been playing in New York City clubs (Arlene’s Grocery, Connolly’s, The Local 269) for over two years is singer/songwriter Chris Saunders, who has been a regular on the City’s music scene for four years. Lead guitarist Greg Llewellyn, bassist Ben Krupit and drummer Jamel Hopkins complete the ensemble. The newly released EP of 4 songs written by Chris and Greg gives a taste of Eleventh Ward’s soulful rock style, plus the bluesy “Woke Up Missing You” and the reggae-inspired “Woke Up, Wake Up”. Eleventh Ward’s performance at The Bitter End, 147 Bleecker Street, starts at 9pm on 26 April.  The following night the group will be playing at a fundraiser for the charity, the Burkina Women’s Education Fund (BWEF), and its US counterpart Chance for Change at Arlene’s Grocery, 95 Stanton Street at 7:45 pm. The newly released EP is currently available on iTunes, AmazonMP3, and eMusic, amongst other distributors.
